Teluk Intan, Perak – A new milestone was achieved in the history of Tamil education in Perak as 'Graduate with Starz 1.0', a groundbreaking two-day educational and recognition event, was successfully held on 23rd October 2023 at Dewan Bunga Raya, Teluk Intan.

Organised with passion and vision, the event witnessed the participation of nine Tamil schools from across the Hilir Perak district and was attended by over 100 students. This marked the first-ever graduation program in Perak exclusively for Tamil school students, celebrating their academic excellence and co-curricular achievements.

The first day featured a Kem Pimpinan (Leadership Camp) designed to empower and inspire students through various leadership-building activities. On the second day, a grand Graduation Ceremony was held to honour the students' hard work and dedication.

The spotlight was on the 2022 Standard 6 students who not only excelled in their final-year exams but also represented their schools in national and international competitions. These young achievers were officially “graduated” in recognition of their outstanding efforts.

In addition, 2022 SPM and STPM students who scored 5As and above were honoured with cash tokens, acknowledging their perseverance and success in public examinations.

‘Graduate with Starz 1.0’ stood as a proud testament to the community’s commitment to education, motivation, and meaningful celebration of academic excellence within the Tamil school system. The initiative is expected to inspire more students to strive for success and uplift the image of Tamil education in the state.
